YAY! NO MORE DARK FILLINGS

WHITE FILLINGS

A white filling is a composite material made up of resin and glass, which is a tooth coloured and mercury free and can be used for many different purposes.

If you have a broken or decayed tooth, a composite filling can be used to restore the tooth to its original shape and colour.

Composite fillings can also be used for cosmetic purposes to restore chipped or uneven front teeth. Many patients also opt to have composite fillings used to replace old, unsightly silver fillings.

LET'S TALK ABOUT WHITE FILLINGS

WILL YOU BE ABLE TO SEE THE FILLING?

We only use the best quality composite filling materials available and our dentists are highly trained. Using special techniques we are able to restore your tooth to its original shape and contour, so the new filling is almost invisible.

HOW MUCH DO WHITE FILLINGS COST?

The cost of the treatment can vary depending on the complexity and the time required to carry out the treatment.

IS PLACING A WHITE FILLING MORE COMPLEX THAN PLACING A SILVER ONE?

Yes, placement of a cosmetic white filling is a highly skilled procedure. Ensuring that the colour and contour of the new filling matches your tooth exactly takes time and expertise.

WILL I HAVE ANY DISCOMFORT AFTER A WHITE FILLING?

Not usually, however, some patients find that after having a larger white filling placed they may develop some mild sensitivity for a period of time afterwards, this should settle down within a few days.
